Another Beginning

Hello… c:

 

Gosh it feels good to be new again… ^_^ this is the third time i've ventured onto a new blog experience. I would like to call myself a "blog-whore" now. heehee. Hopefully though, this would be something i could stick with for a really, REALLY long time. I just love that ".ph" up there… i'm feeling all the patriotic love. ^_-

Last saturday, the 4th, i almost took three lives in one careless swipe. No one probably imagined that i was actually capable of killing someone… until i took a steering wheel.

Yes.

Miss i-can-do-it-all thought she could drive AND drive fast when she has only been learning for a short time.

 

PANIC. That's what kicked in. Everything was going fine during the first few rounds. But on my last run, i found myself stuck between a stationary car in front, and an expecting car behind me. When they said go… i went. FAST. I remember my best friend in the backseat going: "pach break… break. BREAK!!!!!!!" The next thing i knew my friend beside me steered the car to the left, pulled the hand break, and put the car in neutral… ALL OF WHICH HAPPENED RIGHT IN THE NICK OF TIME.

 

A few more inches and we would've hit the lamp post. And on the speed i was going, we would've gotten seriously hurt. My heart was beating so fast… during the ride home i was deathly quiet, and i couldn't find a steady breath. Even until the next day, i still couldn't believe i almost crashed a car.

 

 

I'll never drive again…

 

…unless i have a professional present. WHEW!

Hey…don’t lose heart. Driving is a skill and like all skills, it can be developed. Don’t lose your nerve just because of a close call. It happens. It happens to the best of us. At least this serves to punctuate how huge a responsibility it really is to be behind the steering wheel. That’s a valuable lesson and it will make you a better and safer driver. Just keep at it ok? Yeah, I know. It’s just scary that’s all… But I really am determined to learn. I want to learn so bad I can feel it in my bones! hahah.
